The Poleward project is integrated in iAOOS Norway, and part of The Global Drifter Programme. During the fieldtrip new drifters will be deployed on behalf of the Poleward project. These drifters will be deployed in the Svinøy area of the Norwegian Sea. Previously drifters has been deployed in the northern parts of the Norwegian Sea.
During this fieltrip other scientific instruments will also be deployed and used, amongst them CTDs and Pressure Inverted Echo Sounder.
